Mom brought all of us to Raffles Courtyard for dinner last night. Keke. She bought me an excellent log cake!! The ambience there was great, the weather was cool and music was playin in the background. The food was good (enough) although I still prefer the Char Kuey Thao from the real Hawker. lolx.
Oh.. and I curled my hair ytd. (: Stupid curlers were so freaking heavy. The cute malay hairdresser nicknamed me Queen Amidala with that big awkward hairdo. I couldnt stop laughin, for everytime I moved, the curlers swayed dangerously with me and only make me laugh even more.
The 42 heavy curlers were just part of the torturing ordeal. It was also painful and smelly~ the hairdresser had to put chemicals into my hair. and afterwards, used a big showercap to keep the chemicals from streaming down all over my neck and back. For 30 minutes, I held the heavy weight. I felt like my neck was gonna crack! And finally, the hairdresser came over and pulled the showercap out.
WHEW! I tell u, the smell of ammonia has never been more revolting. I wanted to puke and cry and laugh at the thought of my hair smelling like the toilet bowl that someone had just puked and threw rotten fishes and eggs in. My goodness!! and the Hairdresser said mine smelled "good" already. Other not-so-good chemicals were WORSE.
I dont wanna imagine.
Anyway, the hairdresser had to rinse the chemicals from my hair. So she had to tore through the thick bunch of curlers, as a result, pulling my already painful scalp (from the weight and pull of the heavy curlers) and I believe, causing the loss of half of the nerves on my head.
And my brother straightened his hair. He complained the iron was hot and the man keeps pulling harshly at his tightly curled hair. HelLooo?
Didnt I just show you that Beauty comes with a Price? Hahaha.
I'm meeting some of the girls today and I cant wait!! *^^*
