Kekeke. Just talked to her on msn just now.. Gosh I miss her soOo much! It's not just zhu, but all the fun times we had in secondary school too. Assumption English School. Hahahaha. Who knew such a place infamous and notorious reputation (i'm not flaming!) would bring me such wonderful friends and memories?
I met Lisa Zhu when she just came into 3/1 in 2002. I dont remember how it was, but it soon appeared that we were made to sit beside each other for the next 2 yrs already. ((:
My first impression of her was just a pretty face. Kekeke. But later on I found this lil zhu to be made up of more warmth, care and concern and maturity and understanding than anyone I've met of her age. We shared everything from boys to gossip to shopping and everything under the sun! Eventhough she's older than I am, but she never misemploy it in her personality or speech. That's why people who has the fortune to know her are immediately drawn and naturally attracted to her. keke.
I remember us hating PE lessons (I think we were the only 2 girls, and yanxiu that absolutely loathe PE lessons then!), complaining abt it all the way, but still changed and still ran the distance. And zhu always ran faster than any of us eventhough she didnt like running! And she was one of those few people who could run a mile and still look pretty drenched in prespiration. lolx! It's really endearing. And I remember us running 2.4km, den immediately retiring to the benches to drink water or just to gossip. (:
One or 2 years older than I am, I always looked up to her as a senior (eventhough I dont act that way!!) but then again, it's hard not to look up to her as a senior as she always does better in her studies than I did. And whenever she has the free time, she'll pick up a textbook and just flip and read through the day's work. *smiles* Keke. Sweet and hardworking isnt it? I had several 'role-models' during my O lvl period. keke. Yanny, Chelz, Yuwei, and undoubtly also zhu~ hahaha. If it werent for them (everytime i ask them to nt study, they ignore me!), I wouldnt have chiong-ed for my o lvls too. Bah. Not that I did very well anyway. keke. But they were a source of motivation for me.. *beams*
Zhu and I will always, always get scolded for talking to each other in class! Especially by Ms Koh, our SS teacher. Hahaha. Cuz we're seated beside the OHP, and she always uses it for her lessons ma. Lolx. Those were really the days.. Confiding everything and anything to each other, with BGR problems, movies, family, girlfriends, soOo many things. And she always have all these cute cute things around her! Her pencil case, her stationary, files, and even the covers of her textbooks! kekeke. If it were some other people, others will think it's silly and childish. But I think it fits her bubbly and jovial and warm personality very well.. Lolx. that's why everytime i pass by a stationary shop these days and I see a cute pencil or pen, i'll cant help myself but buy it to send to zhu. I have some sort of a small collection now, but I still havent sent it to her! I must remember to do it soon! humpf. :)
One of the few times i went out with her was to Far East Shopping Center for Esteler 77 for her roommate (another time was marche i think. keke.). Hahhaha!! I didnt really wanted to go, but she sha-jiaoed until I had to give in. Kekeke. but i'm not complaining! It works you know. She'll shake u gently on the arm and go, "ZhUuUuuuu~~~~". Sometimes you just cant reject her lor. So i didnt that time. Hahaha. And because of that, I found a new quaint and delicious eatery. ((: The Bakso soup and Esteler 77 drink was delicious. And even more delicious with good friends and company. *smile*
It was heartaching when she left to study in SF. Zhu didnt even got to attend out Prom night! :( And we didnt take alot of Neoprints together too. Now why didnt camera phones come out earlier?? Humpf! It's difficult to always keep in contact, but i dare say that eventhough we cant talk very often now, but we'll always remain close at heart. (: We're the Big Zhu and Little Zhu remember? kekeke. *hugs* Miss ya alot Lisa Wati Zhu~ Take care and we'll soon all go to LA to look for ya. *muah* ;)
