Gosh..

Do you know that Cyber Cafes are a rarity in GuangZhou??? Took me a whole bloody day for me to find a erm.. 56k modem. =.= Maybe I was looking in all the wrong places. Lolx. But it still didnt stop me from SHOPPING!!!! Spent near to about SGD$400 so far. :x

I cant help it if the things here are so inexpensive!!! Well... Disgustingly affordable. ;p But there are so many other downsides too. Below is a list of idiosyncrasizes that I observed since my arrival here in this city yesterday.

1. The women here are VICIOUS!! Even more vicious then their fellow homosapiens, the Men!!! Every 10 steps u take, you'd see someone arguing. And it's mostly females!! ALong the way back to the hotel last night from shopping on BeiJing Lu, there was these 3 women shouting in the middle of the road because of some small pedestrian/moving vehicle matter, and one almost slapped the other!! SO exciting can. -.-

2. The things here are bloody cheap. DUH. But beware my dears.. If they know u are not local, they will rise the prce by ALOT. I bought a dress quoted to be RMB400, for RMB180. And it's NOT even the lowest the dress can go!! Cuz I bought another dress at RMB50. Is this crazy or wad. =.= Some other locals even told me I could have gotten the 2nd dress at RMB30 or 40.

3. You could have free foot reflexology. Why? Because the road and pavement is so full of potholes and loose pebbles and stones and BOULDERS to give you that exercise footpath our own government spent thousands to create. You know how some people walk with their eyes on the ground because they are shy/introvert? Well, over here, I look on the ground because I dont wanna drop into a pothole or step on a used condom or dirty diaper. DO YOU KNOW, there is NO　scafolding on buildings that are currently undergoing construction. I mean. Where is the contructions gona fall if they lose their footing??? OH GOSH..

4.You cant wear high heels here. Cause it'll just make you look like a clumsy oaf walking about the endless potholes and dirty diapers. Ew. And you dont need to buy platform heels too (though nt v popular now,) cuz the wet cement on the floor will contribute to ur height once it dries on ur soles.

5. The air here is so dirty, ur nose dirt is BLACK. U remove ur foundation and realise that the cotton wool looks GREY. Oh gosh. *shakes head* I'm gonna have a breakout here. OH. And did I mention that although the air here sucks, the guys here are kinda cute?? But I always wonder why is it that the cute guys are only on the buses and not in the shops. The salegirls here also wear makeup like phat. Their eyeshadow is a helluva thick brightly coloured eyeliner. (: no Blending, no duel colour, just... like it was painted on.

6. Crossing the road is dangerous. The locals drive when it's read light, pedestrians cross when the car is right in front of them. I'm surprised I havent seen anyone who almost got knocked down yet. Hmm..Scary. Crossing the road in GuangZhou is like an adrenaline rush.

7. All salesperson here are commission-based. That's really sad!! cuz this 2 women had to fight over this customer. My mom. lolx. Apparently my mom had the tai tai look. I didnt manage to sneak a photo of them shouting at each other, but I did manage to snap them in the middle of a 'calm negotiation'. ;p No wonder IP wants to open China's market. What they can pay to the people here, are much much more than wad they are hvaing now! and most of these sales person do not have education de. I asked one, and she didnt even know how to write her home street name. Hmm..

8. Movies/DVDs piracy is a biiiig thing in GZ. I had the pleasure and amusement of watching a group of pirated VCD dealers' products being confiscated. It all happened so quickly!! First someone shouts "POLCE!!" in cantonese. Then those dealers with a wooden box cum makeshift table/store would snap their head up towards the sound, and simultaneously slam the hard wooden box with loud BAng, regardless of whether your fingers are inside and end up intact or not.
